Commitment to Community

Pink Shirt Promise

From February 9th – 24th, CrossIron Mills showed our support in the anti-bullying movement, #PinkShirtPromise in partnership with Shaw Communications and Post-it® Brand, trademark of 3M. The campaign included an online social contest where the winner was awarded with a trip for two to Toronto, a guest appearance on Entertainment Tonight and a $1,500 shopping spree. At the core of the campaign, our in-mall display featured a pink Post-It wall between La Senza & Forever 21 where shoppers were invited to write a promise for kindness on a Post-it Note and post it to the wall. For every promise posted on the wall, we will donated $1 to help end bullying in our community. Over 3000 promises were collected for a total of $3000 donated to YouthLink Calgary, Boys & Girls Club of Airdrie and Boys & Girls Club of Calgary.

Community Support

As part of our commitment to community we are honoured to offer the gift of space, time and funds to the groups, initiatives & causes that make our community great.

CrossIron Mills supports many of the groups, initiatives & causes that make our community a better place for everyone who lives here with us.

We at CrossIron Mills believe that businesses absolutely can – and should – actively support the communities they serve. So we do so, wherever we can.

Charity of Choice

Make-A-Wish Foundation Southern Alberta

CrossIron Mills proudly supports Make-A-Wish Southern Alberta.  We have hosted various fundraising initiatives to support them as our charity of choice since 2014. Some of our holiday fundraising initiatives include gift wrap by donation at The Holiday Shoppe, which raised a total of $11,000 in charitable proceeds for the foundation in 2016.

On January 15, 2017, CrossIron Mills hosted Trade it Up, where shoppers exchanged their holiday gift cards for a CrossIron Mills gift card. All gift cards collected from Trade it Up were then donated back to Make-A-Wish Foundation Southern Alberta for a total of $22,737.10!

Our partnership with Make-A-Wish Foundation Southern Alberta has contributed to the success of fulfilling the wish of two very special kids. Click in the links below to read about how we helped to make Alex and Madison's wish come true.

As part of Ivanhoé Cambridge’s annual Giving Back Day, the CrossIron Mills administration team volunteered their time Friday, September 30, 2016 at the Airdrie Food Bank. Volunteer tasks included sorting groceries, stocking shelves, and filling hampers of food for families in need. With all hands on deck, we were able to make a positive impact on the Airdrie Food Bank and see first-hand how our volunteer efforts helped to make a difference in the community.
